“Dance allows my soul to speak.”

This Delhi girl hails from the scenic district of Pouri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. She is double the trouble, having the physique of a model and the grace of a dancer. She has groomed herself completely to the dance lifestyle: eating, sleeping and training as a dancer should. She has been a part of the company’s projects since 2014 and gave no second thoughts in shifting cities when the company recruited her.
Apart from standing tall at 5’10’, she is ardent believer in staying fit. She has a rigid workout regime and a strict diet which also comes from years of being an athlete.

Nidhi has been trained extensively in Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz at The Danceworx Academy. She received her Bharatanatyam training from Gandharava Mahavidalaya by Guru Kapil Sharma and Guru Jayalaxmi Eshwar. She has learnt Flying Low, Limon and Graham techniques. She also attended various workshops where she learnt Contemporary, Bollywood, House and Hip-Hop.

“I don’t dance because I’m happy, I’m happy because I dance.” says Nidhi who has lived a dancer’s life through and through. She keeps her mind and body engaged in polarities as she admires Alvin Ailey for their approach to geometry but loves the language fluidity in Edge Performing Theatre’s.

She has been quite the traveler with many many musicals such as:

  • The Kathak Ensemble at blockbuster musical, Mughal-e-Azam,
  • Bollywood ensemble at Beyond Bollywood and Jhumroo
  • Jazz and Contemporary ensemble, The Beauty And The Beast.

Apart from being able to split while standing , Nidhi is also fond of experimenting with fashion and has a YouTube channel dedicated to this very cause called Go Bananas. She hates sitting idle and is always upto something be it swimming or playing basketball. She also claims to make the best Dal Chawal as she thoroughly enjoys cooking as well.

She is training the Young repertory of the company in Ballet and Contemporary and is aiding in the development of Public Relations for the company.
