“Movement in space, gives stillness to time.”
Latha’s journey with dance began in her childhood through Bharatanatyam training. Her first encounter with Nritarutya was during the production Navadurga—an experience she describes as a rediscovery of herself through dance. Since then, her passion and commitment to the art form have only deepened.
A former corporate professional, Latha is now a full-time dancer, choreographer’s assistant, and rehearsal director with Nritarutya. She has trained extensively in Bharatanatyam and contemporary dance techniques, including contact work, which lend her performances both strength and sensitivity. Her deep understanding of music enhances her rhythmic precision and expressiveness on stage.
Latha’s journey has seen her evolve from a company dancer to Rehearsal Director for the record-breaking musical Mughal-e-Azam by Feroz Abbas Khan and Assistant to Choreographer for The Great Indian Musical. She has also contributed to Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s film Mirzya and many other artistic productions.
Trained in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Latha brings innovative, empathetic methods to her teaching, earning her recognition as one of the company’s finest trainers.
